Every household reaches a point where the garage is full, the basement has become storage for things nobody uses, or a remodel has turned the backyard into a pile of old drywall. Curbside trash pickup was never built for that volume. Residential dumpster rental from Royal Dumpster Services gives West Des Moines, IA homeowners one place to put everything, so a weekend project actually finishes in a weekend.
We deliver a clean roll-off container to your driveway or another approved spot, you load it at your own pace, and we pick it up when you call or when your rental window ends. There are no repeated trips to the transfer station, no borrowed trucks, and no bags stacking up by the curb for weeks.
What homeowners in West Des Moines, IA use it for
The most common residential jobs we see are whole-house decluttering, estate cleanouts, kitchen and bathroom remodels, flooring replacement, deck removal, and moving preparation. A family clearing out a parent's home often needs a larger container than expected, because furniture, mattresses, and boxed items take up space quickly. A single bathroom remodel, on the other hand, usually fits comfortably in a smaller container.
If you are unsure, describe the job to our team when you call. We will ask how many rooms are involved, whether the material is bulky or heavy, and how much time you need. That conversation takes a few minutes and prevents the two expensive mistakes: renting too small and paying for a second haul, or renting too large and paying for air.
What usually goes in
Protecting your driveway and your neighbors
Our drivers place containers carefully and can set boards under the rails to help spread the load across your driveway surface. Tell us about sprinkler heads, low branches, overhead wires, or soft ground before delivery so we can plan the drop. If the container has to sit on the street, many municipalities require a permit, and it is worth checking with the city of West Des Moines, IA before your delivery date.
Loading tips matter too. Break down furniture where you can, place flat items like doors and panels along the bottom, and fill evenly from end to end. Keep debris level with the top rim, since overfilled containers cannot be legally transported and may need to be unloaded before pickup.
We emptied my late father's house in five days. The container was dropped exactly where we asked, and the pickup happened the morning after I called.
